Any winch comprises the following basic building blocks:
The drum : this is the part which enables the winch to pull on the rope. Often it is used to store the rope.
The drum supports : the drum must be able to rotate about it’s access. The supports enable it to do this. The support comprises of a support frame with bearings.
The base frame : the base supports the drum supports, without it your winch would fall to bits. It also forms a means of tying the winch down. By tying it down the load will move towards the winch instead of the winch moving towards the load. A very important consideration in winch design and one which, believe it or not, is often overlooked.
The motor; the motor converts the energy (be it electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic) to power to drive the winch. You put the energy in at one end and t the other you get out;
-rotational speed
-torque, which is simply pulling force
The transmission (gearbox) : The gearbox receives the rotating output shaft of the motor and
using a train of gears transmits the power to the drum. It’s function in life is to adjust the
rotational speed and torque (pulling force) generated by the motor.
The control (omitted form the drawing) : the control start and stops the motor. It may also be required to;
-adjust the speed of the motor
-actuate the winch brake
The control may be operated by the person in charge of the winch, although it may receive
it’s instructions from the winch itself, or from elsewhere.
You don’t always need a brake. You only fit one if;
-you don’t want to stop the winch motor turning more quickly than it would if you simply
switched the power off
-you need to hold a load with the power off
Optional features;
Clutch : A clutch is used for pulling winches only, it enables you to pay out the line manually. The only applications for lifting winches with a clutch are; anchor winches and pile driving winches.
Bandbrake : A bandbrake is required when the static load can be much higher than the dynamic load the winch is designed for. It prevents that this high load will be applied to the gearbox.
If you put these blocks together in the right order, you have a winch.
Besides the two mentioned options there are many more options possible which we will highlight later on.

There are many possibilities and tools for corporations in the market who are willing to make sacrifices to create luck for you.
Internet Advertising is without doubt one of the few at the ground that permits an individual to wait lower costs and compete effectively with anyone who is not in the company. You notice, just because it is at the line, does not imply you have got a industry relationship.
