Mechanical drawing generates instruction for manufacturing parts. A mechanical or technical drawing can be computer form or hand-drawn schematic showing all the dimensions required to produce a part, as well as assembly remarks, a listing of required materials, and other relevant details. Drafting traditionally was two-dimensional practice, but computer-aided design (CAD) programs nowadays permits the designer to generate in three dimensions.
Mechanical Drawing has many advantages, which makes an easier and complete visualisation of products, the capability to generate virtual assemblies of parts, and the ease of use in designing mating interfaces and tolerances. With it a mechanical team can swiftly and economically iterate the design process to build up a product that meets up the expenditure, performance and other limitation. There is no requirement to make a physical prototype unless the designs close to achievement, lets hundreds or thousands of designs to be evaluated, instead of a relative only some.
